Hi, I’m Felix — a software engineer who writes about technology and the occasional life detour.
I spend most of my time building backend systems, mostly in Go. I care about tools that stay out of your way and codebases that are honest about what they do. I’m skeptical of complexity and fond of deleting things.
Outside of work, I co-built QueryBox — a lightweight, plugin-based database GUI for people who just want to run queries and look at data without paying a cognitive tax for features they’ll never use.
I also write here. Posts tend to be short: a fix that took too long to find, a setup worth sharing, or a thought that needed somewhere to land.
Currently using: Go, VSCode, Pop!_OS, direnv
